Sexual abuse in DR Congo: 22 women in Butembo say aid workers offered jobs for sex
In this edition, over 20 women in the east of DR Congo say they were coerced into having sex with aid workers sent into their community to help them face an Ebola crisis. We speak to one of the investigators, Robert Flummerfelt. Also, in the country, an anti-corruption coalition warns that DR Congo could lose up almost $4 billion from murky mining and oil deals with sanctioned Israeli businessman Dan Gertler. And, a grave dating thousands of years was discovered in Kenya helping shed light on the cultural evolution of men.

People in Congo call him ‘auntie Flora’ and think it is very interesting that he presents himself in a traditional female role. A man selling makeup in Kinshasa is not a traditional male role at all. For everything he does, he makes fifty dollars a day. VPRO Metropolis correspondent Paul Shemisi from Congo followed him for a day to see how he makes a living dressed as woman. Also he discovers stereotypes about African transvestites.
